If one thing’s for sure: Ayana Miller has her life together. She doesn’t have time for high school romance- she’s too busy trying to secure her internship with iconic fashion designer, Yvonne Edwards. The most important thing to her right now is finishing her look-book so she can cement her future as a style icon. Well- that- and being the ULTIMATE hype-man for her younger sister, Sabrina. Unfortunately, when Sabrina’s boyfriend turns out to be a literal demon who is out for her soul, Ayana’s plans are thrown for a loop. Not only is she forced to face a demon to save her sister’s life, but she’s also forced to face the one thing she was never so sure about in the first place: love.    

Only, ever since meeting the annoyingly handsome Carter, Ayana can’t stop wondering if love truly is a waste of time like she thought. Ayana never had time for romance before, but maybe she could reconsider her stance. If she can find the time to fight a demon, then maybe she can find the time to open her heart, too. With the help of her disaster cousin, her baking-obsessed best friend, and her spacy guardian angel, Ayana learns that maybe there is something to this infernal romance thing after all.
